If you've already made your Fantasy Football transfers for gameweek 5, then there's some very bad news for you if you've got one of the game's most popular keepers between the sticks.
Chelsea have today confirmed that goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois needs surgery on his knee and could face up to three months on the sidelines.
Jose: 'Thibaut Courtois was injured in training, he needs surgery on his right knee and he will be out for quite a long time.' #CFC

That "long time" has since turned in to an estimation of three months. It's bad news for Chelsea, but Thibaut is keeping positive:
Thank you everyone for the support and the good wishes! I will work hard to recover as soon as I can! ?? #cfc pic.twitter.com/ED8ubSezQx

Now, firstly you shouldn't really be depending on the Chelsea defence after their leaky start to the season, but the reality is that 14.5% of teams have Courtois as their goalkeeper.
With his price at 5.4 and falling, one very clear candidate has emerged as his replacement, and he appears to be an absolute bargain at 5.3m:
David De Gea has signed a new four-year contract at #mufc with an option to extend for a further year. pic.twitter.com/Z3JuQOaNEi

While this weekend's match with Liverpool is certainly a risky one in terms of keeping a clean sheet, Manchester United's defence has looked unusually solid, and over the long-haul De Gea will get you points.
