Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has long been linked with a move to Manchester United as an antidote to their centre-back issues.
German magazine Kicker however has some back news for any fan of the club who thought that the World Cup winner would be on his way to Old Trafford this summer.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told Kicker that Hummels has informed Manchester United that he will not be joining them this summer.
Zorc is quoted by the magazine as saying:
It made sense that Mats was thinking about his future but I always pointed out that we plan [for the future] with him.
A definite blow to Louis van Gaal's summer transfer plans.
