There Was A Luis Figo-esque Incident At The Azteca Stadium Last Night

We all remember when Luis Figo committed the ultimate betrayal and moved across the El Classico divide from Barcelona to Real Madrid. On returning to the Nou Camp he was showered with bottles, other debris and even a pig's head when taking a corner.  It's an incident that lives long in the memory.

Last night Mexico and Costa Rica played at the Azteca stadium and the Mexican fans channelled their inner Catalan and threw bottles at Costa Rica's Bryan Ruiz as he took a corner. Eventually they had to get riot police with shields to protect Ruiz as he took the corner.

Personally, I'd rather get hit with a pig's head than a bottle but that might just be me.
