In what has to be the strangest signing of the January transfer window, Brenford have signed Romeo Beckham from Inter Miami.
The son of former England and Manchester United winger David, Romeo Beckham has joined their B team, having played with Inter Miami II since 2021.
In case you were wondering what type of player he is, Romeo Beckham has 10 assists and two goals last season in the MLS Next Pro.

While he may not have had the rise of his father, it sounds like Romeo Beckham is delighted to make the move to England.
I’m very proud and very happy to be here. I came here at the start to keep fit during the off season. The chance then came to come on loan here and I’ve never been so excited.
It was a fun season [in the USA] and there were a lot of ups and downs but I’m excited to come here and see what I can do. I’ve loved it. They’re such nice boys and have good energy. I love coming in every day seeing them and getting to train every day with them is fun.
They are all very talented players, and they drive me to be even better in myself. A few of them give me some kicks and I give them back, but we all come into work hard to get better in ourselves and the coaches drive that."
Twitter Reacts To Romeo Beckham
It's safe to say that this came to shock to everyone. Not only did people not expect the move, but nobody seemed to have a clue what he is currently doing.
For some football fans, it felt like yesterday they saw David Beckham curling in free kicks for Manchester United on a regular basis.
However, there was a sense of disappointment over the fuss that was made for a signing ti the reserve side.
20, all of the media for him to be joining their B team in a developmental role, all for PR, he’ll be quickly forgotten. Like when Louis Tomlinson went to Doncaster and Mark Wright went to Crawley. https://t.co/C9NkhQQh5M

Good luck to him, but there can’t be any meritocracy in this. How many young, talented players and their parents will have sacrificed so much to even get a trial for a PL academy? https://t.co/407cioVMW6
