There is an old saying beloved of football commentators that 'you're never so vulnerable as when you've just scored...' That's certainly true when you greet a goal with this kind of imbecility.
The Mozambique club Ferroviario Maputo got a serious kick out of scoring against the K-Stars and they wanted to celebrate with their delirious supporters, which consisted of schoolchildren from a school which had 'adopted' them. They arranged an impromptu party at the side of the pitch where the supporters were congregated - they had to scamper across from the far side of the pitch to do so.
They might have gotten away with it too had the player who had the ball tucked under his arm not lobbed it back to the K-Stars players while his goalkeeper was still celebrating with the fans. But in fairness to that man, the ref was very insistent about him throwing the ball back. Either way, there is some justice in what happened.
