Poor Robin Van Persie can't go for a meal and pose for photos with men of Middle Eastern extraction without causing aftershocks on the internet. First he posted the above photo to Twitter today from his outing at Gilgamesh, a restaurant in Camden Down. Some eagle-eyed people pointed out the similarity between the guy in the middle and a guy front and centre among the Man City ownership delegation at the Emirates last Sunday.
2 and 2 was put together and RVP was taking Balotelli's place in the Man City team. Not so fast - or so Twitter says.
Mystery dude is the father-in-law of the Famlan guy who was mentioned in RvP's tweet. And judging by his TL, Famlan's a Gooner & RvP's pal.

Until otherwise notified, I'm going to give Van Persie the benefit of the doubt and assume that he's not stupid enough to post photos of himself dining with Man City officials on his Twitter feed.
