Yesterday, we asked you to rank the most beautiful trophies in all of sport. Despite the fact that the correct answer is, of course, the UEFA Cup, you all went and voted the FIFA World Cup trophy in first position, ahead of the Champions League trophy in second and the Sam Maguire in third. The UEFA Cup, incidentally finished in seventh position, so can console itself with a place in the, er, UEFA Cup.
You really didn't like the trophies in American sport, with the Vince Lombardi sixth and the Stanley Cup the next nearest U.S. trophy. The poor little Ashes Urn finished bottom.
