Derby County have rejected their second bid of £3 million from Burnley for Republic of Ireland midfielder Jeff Hendrick. Hendrick, who was one of Ireland's most impressive players in the Euros, hasn't had the best of times at Pride Park - but the Rams seem determined to hold on to the 24-year-old.
According to the Telegraph, Derby consider Burnley's £3million bid 'embarrassing', and value him significantly higher in today's market - especially after his impressive Euros showing.
Hull City are another team said to be monitoring the situation. Hendrick hasn't always been first choice for Derby, but new manager Nigel Pearson is said to be a fan. The Irish midfielder is said to have two years left on his current contract.
Burnley haven't made any signings after their promotion to the Premier League, and two bids for Hendrick already suggests that Sean Dyche has made him a top target.
