Over the weekend, we were told that Ed Woodward had flown out to Barcelona to try and force through a move for Pedro. Personal terms were supposedly agreed and all that was left was for Man United to come up with the £21 million bid that would activate his release clause.
It looked certain that the 28 year old would be the final addition to Louis Van Gaal's attack. Think again.
Not only is it being reported that Man United have withdrawn their interest but it now looks certain that he will instead move to Chelsea after the London club came in with a late bid that activated his release clause.
Told #mufc have now ended their interest in Pedro. Manager's decision. Standby #cfc fans...

Reports this morning suggested that Pedro's patience was wearing thin but that United were still top of the queue. That's changed quite significantly now with reports in Spain stating that he is on his way to have a medical with Chelsea later today having already agreed personal terms.
Intriguing developments and ones which will surely worry Man United fans given the need for some attacking reinforcements.
