The Palestinian FA Want Israel Suspended By FIFA

The Palestinian football association have written to FIFA asking them to suspend Israel from international competition.

Israel are due to face Belgium at the Teddy Stadium this evening, a ground which the Palestinian Authority assert is built on lands 'occupied by Israel in 1967'.

The Palestinian FA president has called on FIFA to show Israel the 'red card'.

The Palestinians complain that Israel continues to impose restrictions on the movement of it's athletes between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The Palestinians have also documented that Israel curbs the import of sports equipment and visits by foreign teams.

It has also detailed the racist behaviour of Israeli fans towards Arab players, many of whom play in the Israeli professional league.

Last year, the Palestinian national football stadium was destroyed in the 2014 Israeli-Gaza war (Operation Protective Edge). George Galloway sought to procure funding from the ranks of professional footballers in England. He succeeded in raising £0.00.
