Swansea City have released a big flashy video showing the inspiration behind the brand new home kit which the Swans will play in next season, and while the idea was good, the execution... Not so much.
Swansea has a rich history with the copper industry, and the club wished to acknowledge this and incorporate something into the new design, but unfortunately for them, copper doesn't really work as a clothing material.
The end result was this kit which looks like a Real Madrid jersey from a few years ago, only made with the terrible material you find in the €2 Shop. Of course, anyone who enjoyed the Power Rangers as a kid will instantly think back to when the Green Power Ranger made a stunning comeback in all-white.
Those shorts! So bad!
