Brazilian attacking midfielder Alex Teixeira yesterday spoke publicly about the transfer speculation that had been surrounding him with refreshing honesty as he plainly explained that two English clubs were in for him, and that he wanted to leave.
Chelsea and Liverpool were the clubs in question, and with both working on deals with Shakhtar it looked as though Teixeira had a choice between the two, and Sky Sports News are now reporting that he has opted to link up with the growing band of Brazilians at Anfield.
With uncertainty over Chelsea's manager, the idea of playing under Jurgen Klopp is clearly more appealing to the Shakhtar man, although Chelsea's win over Arsenal on Sunday has put the club back in contention for a European spot.

We will now see two things happen:
1) Chelsea fans will say he's crap and they never wanted him.
2) Liverpool fans will celebrate getting one over Chelsea.
It does bring a change from the trend of players opting to join Chelsea over Liverpool in recent seasons, such as Willian and Mohammed Salah if reports are to be believed, and perhaps more surprisingly, opting to move to Liverpool over London.
Alex Teixeira is a very talented footballer, and Liverpool fans will be excited by this news even if a deal is yet to be completed, although as with Roberto Firmino, a "bedding in period" is to be expected.
