The second half failed to live up to the excitement of the first, but Ireland played out their friendly with Slovakia in a style that will certainly be encouraging ahead of Euro 2016.
The ball was passed about, channels were run, and possibly dodgy penalties were given. Here are our player ratings for the Irish players against Slovakia.
Nobody really made a claim for more of a role the way Clark and Duffy did on Friday night, but the team was more adventurous, so with that in mind...
Rob Elliot - N/A
Couldn't judge as his time was sadly cut short due to injury. Hopefully it's not as bad as it looked.
Cyrus Christie - 7
What an encouraging performance from a lad who has yet to put a foot wrong in an Ireland jersey. His club form for Derby has been called into question recently, but he bombed on and gave Ireland some much needed width in a fashion that would make an injury to Seamus Coleman less catastrophic than it would have been at any stage in the last three years. Still, please don't get injured, Seamus.
Paul McShane - 3
Those who have seen McShane play for Reading this season will have been surprised he was so poor, particularly in the first half, as the former Hull City man took a big backward step in terms of his contention to feature at Euro 2016. Considering the performance of Shane Duffy on Friday, it's not looking good for Macca.
John O'Shea - 5
A quiet night for someone who will start in France if fit.
Stephen Ward - 6
Better from Ward, who has still to convince many Irish football fans. There is still to be a decision over whether Ward or Brady gets the nod at left back, but the Burnley man did his argument no harm tonight.
Glenn Whelan - 6
You know what you're getting from Glennjamin, a necessary metronome in the Irish midfield.
James McCarthy - 5
Another quiet showing from a nailed on starter, McCarthy put himself around but can offer Ireland a lot more.
Eunan O'Kane - 7
A very bright and positive showing from Bournemouth's other Irish midfielder, O'Kane buzzed around the pitch making up for the odd misplaced pass with his desire to win the ball back and show for it again after he gave it. You can tell he desperately wants to play for Ireland.
Wes Hoolahan - 8
The best player on the pitch tonight, it's easy to forget that Lionel Wessi is almost 34 years of age. An absolute prince of a man, he clarified that he is absolutely not a target-man, as if that needed clarification.
James McClean - 6
Perhaps lucky to dispatch his penalty, McClean put in a solid display overall. We know what we're getting from James, and we like it.
Shane Long - 7
Any argument that Shane Long is better as an impact sub against tired defenders must surely be thrown out the window, as we are simply a better team with him on the pitch. Never stops working.
Subs:
Darren Randolph - 5
Nothing he could do about McShane's OG, and not much else he had to do.
Alex Pearce - 6
Did well, if anything he made Paul McShane's night look worse with his solidity.
Robbie Brady - 5
Didn't really get into the swing of things after coming on at half-time, but he wasn't poor either. Robbie is a positive player.
Aiden McGeady - 5
No impact made off the bench, and he really needed to make one. It's hard to see Aido getting much gametime in France.
Anthony Pilkington - 7
A surprisingly bright appearance off the bench from Anthony Pilkington, who will have done his squad chances a lot of good with his cameo.
