The first Premier League managerial sacking of the new season has just been announced, one day before the transfer window officially opens.
Leicester City have today announced the sacking of Nigel Pearson on their official website, citing a fundamental differences in perspective as the reason for parting ways with a manager who kept them in the Premier League with a sensational run of form at the business end of the season.

The Board of Directors recognises the success Nigel has helped to bring to Leicester City during his two spells in charge of the Club, particularly during the last three and a half years. However, it has become clear to the Club that fundamental differences in perspective exist between us. Regrettably, the Club believes that the working relationship between Nigel and the Board is no longer viable.
Leicester City’s owners, Vichai and Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, and the Board of Directors would like to place on record their thanks to Nigel for the considerable contribution he has made during his time with the Club and wish him well in the future.
Khun Vichai and Khun Top remain wholly committed to the Club’s long-term development and to on going investment in a squad that will continue to be competitive in the Premier League. We trust that the Club’s supporters will recognise that the owners have always acted with the best interests of the Club at heart and with the Club’s long-term future as their greatest priority.
Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh will take charge of first team duties while the Club begins its recruitment of a new manager. There will be no further comment until this process has concluded.
It appears that this time it definite, as Pearson had reportedly been sacked by Leicester during the season, but those reports proved to be false and the foxes shocked everyone by fighting back to ensure Premier League survival.
Nigel Pearson's son was released by the club for his involvement in a racist sex orgy, but that is likely to not have been a major reason behind the decision to sack the manager, instead it may have been because he seems like a really, really difficult person to work with, as every journalist assigned to a Leicester City press conference this season will no doubt confirm.
You could have got odds of 5/1 on Pearson being the first manager sacked if you were checking last night, but an influx of bets in recent hours saw his odds slashed before the official announcement.
