Ah, the often rumored but never executed swap deal, a staple of the transfer window. The Star claim Wayne Rooney is to be offered - no doubt as "bait" - in a €90m swop deal...hang on what the hell is a swop deal? Some mangled combination of the fabled "swoop" and swap? No swop is an actual word and it means the same thing as swap so kudos to The Star for at least making us consult our dictionaries. Everything else in the story is to taken of course, with a silo of salt.
