The Cavanman's Fantasy Football Team: The Cheapest Best XI

Here's a quick one for you. What if that £100m you have to spend on players in fantasy football was actually coming out of your pocket?

Wouldn't you actually try to save a bit rather than being determined to spend the whole thing? Waste not, want not is what I say. I've very quickly tried to put together the best team possible for the least money possible.

Not familiar with the concept? It's simple. As a Cavanman, my motto is 'Even if you are using pretend money, why spend more than you have to?' My mission is to build a successful fantasy team on as little a budget as possible. I then put it in competition with my actual fantasy team and see which one comes out on top. Last season the Cavanman XI actually got more points than my normal one for about the first three months until I kept forgetting to change the team. This year I'm determined to stick with and see if you really can win the league on a pittance.

In truth this is a ridiculous waste of time but hey, it might help you out if you're looking for a bargain or two. I've got a whole squad assembled and still have £22.5 million to spend on Superdry jackets and check shirts.
