If Wes Hoolahan can't play two games in three days then perhaps the time is finally right for Alan Judge. A regular in Martin O'Neill's bumper provisional squads, the 26 year old Dubliner has yet to actually receive a senior cap, but his form for Brentford this season has been nothing short of spectacular.
The statistics don't lie and Judge has been highlighted as the best player in the Championship so far this season. That moniker may be subjective but he's now been rewarded for his form with the Championship Player of the Month award for October.

That award will come as no surprise to Brentford fans after they say the creative midfielder set up one goal and score three in the space of a week during the past month. This strike against Charlton was a particular highlight.
An speaking of impressive Irishmen with Brentford, the Championship Manager of the Month award has gone to Lee Carsley. The former Everton man took over the reigns at the end of September with Brentford in free fall. Fast forward one month and they're comfortably mid table after four straight wins in October.
