UEFA have finished allocating the tickets to Ireland's EURO 2016 group games this morning, so we hope you were not subject to the tyranny of this email:

We're not sure what's worse: missing out on tickets or being told you have missed out on tickets with the image of that maniacally smiling child. These things should be left to Pixar.
Following ticketing issues for loyal Belgian and Northern Irish fans, we were worried that deserving Irish fans would miss out on tickets. And some loyal fans have missed out on tickets:
No joy on EURO tickets. Season ticket holder at AVIVA. What the hell do you need to do. Gutted

1/2 Hey @FAI - I went to Scotland, Poland, Gibraltar, Germany at home - I sat through that horrible Georgia game in the rain....

2/2 @fai I braved wild seas in mid-winter to get to Scotland away. I went to some god-awful friendlies & loved them - still get no tickets

@FAIreland No tickets for #Euro2016. Absolutely raging. Have been to every game since Euro88, home games, away qualifiers etc. This is wrong

There is, however, some potentially good news for the loyal fans who have missed out on tickets through the UEFA ticketing portal. The FAI announced on Friday that they were granted an additional 832 tickets, and have kept 2,000 tickets in reserve for loyal supporters:
Today, an extra 832 tickets were released by UEFA to the FAI following a letter from the Association to European football’s governing body, in anticipation of an expected shortfall for supporters.
The FAI has 2,000 tickets in reserve, which were distributed by UEFA to all Participating National Associations. These tickets will be used to satisfy the demand from supporters with a proven match attendance record, who have missed out on securing tickets through the UEFA Portal.
So if you have a proven track record of following Ireland and received bad news from UEFA this morning, there could still be good news on the way.
