When Gary Neville celebrated like that against Liverpool, it seemed like he would forever be the most divisive man in football. Then he stepped off the pitch, sat behind a Sky Sports desk and that all changed.
Gary Neville is now universally loved. If you don't like, at least begrudgingly like Gary Neville, it seems you don't have the permission to say anything about football.
Despite that, Man United fans still remember what Gary Neville used to stand for. He used to stand for hating Scousers before he sold out. And one individual has decided to memorialise that time with a horribly permanent reminder.
To be fair the artistry isn't too bad at all. But the whole package is very intimidating and not in a hefty street cred kind of way. That thing is on his thigh.
You almost have to hand it to him for the dedication to do that and for the bravery to make it public. He even got a quick reply from an obviously flattered Neville.
Love you to!! Haha https://t.co/ZeGQpKMsQd
