The talkSPORT phone-in shows are often filled with what can generously be described as odd opinions about various footballing topics.
There are some callers that say stuff so outrageous that you are hoping for their own sake that they are pulling the piss. Usually the topic of discussion is based around managers that should be sacked or potential transfers, but this one is a bit stranger than that.
Nathan rang into the show to discuss Jack Wilshere, the injury plagued West Ham player who was once thought to be the next great English midfielder.
Nathan is a big fan of Wilshere. In fact, he is such a big fan that he doesn't actually support a team, he just supports Jack Wilshere. Strange.
What follows is three minutes of bizarre conversation, in which the caller is adamant that the former Arsenal man is a better player than both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
🙌 “I don’t follow a team, but I support @JackWilshere really.”
🥇 “When he’s fully fit, I believe he is the best player in the world.”
👕 “I’ve got posters of him on my wall, I’d love to meet him.”

I don't support a team. I have a local team, but I follow Jack Wilshere...
I support Jack Wilshere. I've got posters up in my bedroom, I've got shirts. I don't have anything ridiculous, I'm not crazy about him or anything.
If he's playing I'll cheer on West Ham. If he's not playing I won't cheer on West Ham.
We think you're underselling yourself Nathan, you are definitely a bit crazy about Jack Wilshere.
Nathan: In my opinion he is the best player in the world, when he's fit yeah.
Goldstein: Is he better than Messi?
Nathan: I believe so, yeah.
Goldstein: Better than Ronaldo?
Nathan: Yeah, I believe so.
Goldstein: You think Jack Wilshere is better than Ronaldo and Messi?
Nathan: Combined or just on their own?
Goldstein: Just on their own, we won't overdo it.
Nathan: I think so yeah. Do you disagree?
Christ.
