Perhaps somewhat contrived, an exhibition match between Salford City and the Class of '92 (& friends) has benefited hugely from a referee wearing some sort of go-pro camera.
With a host of ex-pros joining Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt to make up the Class of '92's list of friends, old habits died hard when the non-league side were awarded a penalty.
Featuring Giggs, Neville, Butt, Steve McManaman, Jamie Carragher and Shay Given, the Irish's 'keepers vehemence was only a few notches below his aggravation after the Henry handball of 2009.
Such was the consternation, Carragher's assessment seemed to sum up their general dismay: 'Are you taking the piss?'
To be fair to them, it does look like they had a point.
? The Class of 92 were not impressed with this penalty decision.

In a match that ended 4-4, Jamie Carragher, and his 'keeper for the day Shay Given, were embroiled in some 'back and forth' over a conceded goal that Carragher felt he had dealt with appropriately.
Here is the goal, and Carragher's response.
Afternoon @Carra23, could we get some analysis from you, @GNev2 and @DavidJonesSky on this flawless spot of defending from you yesterday? pic.twitter.com/8MTjQwFGzz

Read it brilliantly as usual, then expected my keeper to come & collect it but he’s nowhere to be seen hence the hesitation. Then he appears as I’m about to tackle the striker! I can only apologise on his behalf. https://t.co/bs3b7RwqL2

Needless to say, that is not how Shay Given read the situation in hindsight.
For me, defender @Carra23 has to clear his lines, would love to hear @GNev2 thoughts on #mnf 😜 https://t.co/oUavWrVgC4

The quality of defender was different to what your used to Shay I totally understand why your were hesitant! 😳

I couldn’t hear the call due to the amount of abuse you were getting behind the goal from the Man U faithful 😳😂 https://t.co/GEpa7m27Fv

All in, this looked like that rarest of things; a match of ex-pros that actually seemed somewhat compelling.
