Sweden were crowned European U21 Champions on Tuesday night with a penalty shootout win against Portugal.
The podium celebration which the players undertook once they had received the trophy was rather curious.

The celebration has its origins in Sweden's playoff qualification win against France.
Leading on aggregate against France in the two-leg playoff, Sweden conceded a late goal which would have put France through to the finals on away goals.
Goalscorer Layvin Kurzawa chose to celebrate right in the face of a Swedish player with a military-esque salute.
It turned bad for Kurzawa when just a minute later Sweden scored once more to go through 4-3 on aggregate.

After that game against France, the Swedish players ran across the pitch mimicking Kurzawa.
And again last night, they gave him a little reminder of that night back in October.
