Arsenal have seen off the challenge of Sutton United with relative ease, although Sutton did themselves proud: they rattled the crossbar from 25 yards, and had a couple of other great chances, and can count themselves very unfortunate not to have at least scored against their illustrious opponents.
Ahead of the game, Sutton's 46-year-old substitute 'keeper Wayne Shaw was on the receiving end of a bit of b****r from Alan Shearer, as he poked fun at his weight. Shearer was once with Shaw in the same youth side, and described their divergent careers as follows:
I followed my dreams to the Premier League. He followed his to the burger van.
Shaw then spent the game chasing a legacy as an FA Cup cult hero. He popped up to bar at half-time:

After Sutton had made all three substitutes, Shaw decided that he was safe enough to tuck into a bit of food on the bench. As a result, the British taxpayer could say that they are paying the BBC to broadcast the important televisual event of Man Eats Pie.
Shaw earned the acclaim of many viewers...

Although not everybody:
Sutton's reserve keeper going to the bar at half-time and eating a pie on the bench. Feel like he *might* just be milking this one a touch.

Why did he do it? Was he just hungry? Or is there another reason? The same writer pointed to a bit of a coincidence:
It's all a bit of good clean fun though, isn't it? pic.twitter.com/KPzxIjlIia
