QPR's newest fan Will Ferrell has eaten his own words after he got owned by the Sunderland social media admin last night, following his prediction of 'tears of sorrow' for Sunderland, right before they thrashed QPR.
Will Ferrell's football tour of the UK continued on Monday night when he visited Loftus Road for QPR v Sunderland in the Championship. The superstar who is spending six days in the UK going to see four football games, has popped up at Wrexham, drinking pints with the fans and even paid a visit to the Sky Sports team revealing his unlikely bromance with Roy Keane. Just like that trip to City v Villa, Ferrell's trip to QPR did not disappoint. The acting legend was in his usual form when he took to the club's Twitter to engage in some good old American trash talk aimed at Sunderland's players.
Sunderland, ooh the tears of sorrow your gonna experience tonight, dripping down your face into your mouth, drowning you in sorrow, I can only imagine.

All was going well until a ball was kicked and Sunderland thrashed QPR 3-0 in a comprehensive win, QPR had stayed with Sunderland for the first half hour before conceding, with Sunderland putting two more past them in the dying minutes of the game. Ferrell's tears of sorrow prediction wasn't completely untrue however, as QPR managed to rack up six yellow cards in the ninety minutes.
We imagine right around full-time Ferrell was beginning to reassess his predictions of sorrow, because Sunderland didn't take the news lying down. Whatever Sunderland are paying their social media admin, they need to increase it right now for this piece of comedy gold. The comedy and acting legend, who is a co-owner of Los Angeles FC, was outwitted by the victorious Sunderland admin, using this beautifully curated tik-tok of Ferrell himself responding from Anchorman.

To quote the eternal Ron Burgundy, that escalated quickly.
