Die-hard fans of the Israeli Premier League will have seen this one already, but this weekend Central Africa Republic striker David Manga scored a stunning goal in Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona's 2-2 draw with Hapoel Acre and we couldn't help but notice the similarity with a certain Puskas Award nominated goal.
As the ball comes bouncing to Manga, he traps the ball with his chest, takes a touch on the volley to bring the ball onto his left, and then cracks an unstoppable shot with his left foot that leaves the goalkeeper helpless. Sounds familiar, right?
So was it better than Stephanie Roches goal?
No, it was not. While Manga had the Tony Yeboah-style crossbar bounce in his favour, he did not have the effortlessness and natural flow of a majestic waterfall that Stephanie Roche's goal had, and thus, Roche's goal wins again.
