When the question is asked of Liverpool fans about their least favourite player to ever play for the club, the answer is almost always going to be El Hadji Diouf. The Senegal international was horrendous on the pitch and even worse off it and he has done nothing to aid his reputation today with some outlandish claims about Steven Gerrard.
The Liverpool captain had some harsh words for Diouf in his latest autobiography and the former Rangers and Leeds player has responded in a bizarre interview with Senegal radio station Futur Media.
The Sun are reporting that Diouf claimed Gerrard was jealous of his standing as a global football icon before launching into some very dodgy claims.
Liverpool is not a club that welcomes black players, unless they are English but if they are not they don’t stand a chance.
It is common knowledge that Gerrard has never liked blacks. When I was at Liverpool I showed him that I was black, I wasn’t English, and I wasn’t going to take any nonsense.
He never dared look me in the eye all the time I was at the club.
Good look with the legal battle there El Hadji, there's unlikely to be a football fan alive who'll be sad to see you taken to the cleaners.
