Former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard has emerged as a surprise candidate for the manager of Poland.
Since being sacked by Aston Villa in October, Steven Gerrard has been without a job in management. Despite much promise going into the job, a poor run of form to start the season saw him replaced by Unai Emery.
While he was able to disrupt Celtic's dominance in the Scottish Premiership, Aston Villa were never able to hit the heights expected of them, despite some high-profile signings arriving to Villa Park.
Steven Gerrard had been viewed as the long term successor to Jurgen Klopp, but since his disappointing period in charge of Aston Villa, that now looks like an unlikely destination.
