Stevan Jovetic bags his second goal in two games since he joined Sevilla - both against Real Madrid - and ends Madrid's incredible 40-game winning streak, a Spanish record.
Real Madrid have gone an incredible forty games unbeaten in all competitions, and weirdly the team that they drew with to clinch that record a few days ago has now beaten them in the very next match to end that run.
On Thursday Madrid and Sevilla battled out a 3-3 draw at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in the Copa del Rey 'round of 16', with Madrid progressing to the quarter-finals on an aggregate score of 6-3. In doing so, Zinedine Zidane's team beat Barcelona's record of 39 games in all competitions without being defeated. One of the scorers for Sevilla that day was Stevan Jovetic, who only two days previously had signed on loan at Sevilla from Internazionale.
And it was Jovetic who was the hero tonight, curling a low right-foot shot past Navas in the Madrid goal to give Sevilla a dramatic last-gasp winner and a vital three points over their rivals in the title race. Now they sit just a point behind Madrid, with Barcelona just a point further back - though Madrid do have a game in hand over those two clubs.
Here's the goal from another angle:

As Sid Lowe pointed out, it's probably fair to say that the Sevilla fans enjoyed Jovetic's effort.

It's all shaping up to be a tasty title run-in in La Liga this year.
