He may have only been in the job for a few weeks but Stephen Kenny is already looking into the future for St Pat's after he experienced his first win in charge at Richmond Park against Galway United on Friday night.

Pats left it late to get a winner as Alex Nolan was able to fire home a few minutes from time to secure Kenny his debut league victory for the side from Inchicore.

The former Republic of Ireland manager Kenny has said that his new post at Pats is a long-term project and has planned ahead for July when he can bring in players. Kenny hasn't been shy in saying his squad needs new additions and that Pat's are a long way away from competing at the top of the table.

After his side's win against the Tribesmen, Stephen Kenny talked about how the training facilities Pats have at the Sports Ireland campus in Abbotstown has attracted players and that he's also been in conversation with some players interested in joining the Dublin side.

The big thing for me is planning for the future and I've been doing that,

Going toward the end of the year and next year, I think we'll have the best training ground in the league, a lot of the Sport Ireland facilities

We want to get it because a lot of things aren't right around it at the club and we have to get that right. We will have the best facilities and speaking to a lot of players, they want to come here and they understand what we're going to do.

I've been speaking to a few players and they want to come here. It might be the end of the season or whatever, but a lot of players want to come here as they know we're going to build something with really top class training facilities, a good working environment and we want to build something.

Kenny still has a job ahead of him for this season as Pats are in seventh place in the League of Ireland Premier Division table and it will be an emotional day for Kenny on Monday as Pats face his former side Dundalk at Richmond Park.
