Tottenham Hotspur are set to face Manchester City on a rough Wembley pitch, just 24 hours after an NFL game between Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars was played on the same field.
It makes for a huge task for the ground staff who not only have to remove lines, flags and goalposts but also have the considerable task of repairing the damaged pitch.

The ground does have a Desso system, which is common in Premier League stadiums. This is a mix of both grass and plastic fibres. Sky Sports stadium reporter Gerard Brand suggested that while it may not like great, this should not be the case on the ground: "This makes it much less likely to cut up, although there can be wear. So although it may look worn out from up high, at ground level the pitch should still run true."
There was a record 85,870 fans at the ground yesterday, as the Eagles soared to a 24-18 victory. That was the third and final game in London for 2018.
