A day after Aberdeen announced that they had agreed to terminate Chris Forrester's contract, the midfielder has re-signed for St. Pat's.
Forrester, who left Richmond Park to join Peterborough in August 2015, was one of two signings announced by the League of Ireland side on Wednesday. Pat's have also acquired Rhys McCabe from Sligo Rovers.
"I'm absolutely delighted to be back with everything that's gone on with my life," said Forrester who has penned a three-year deal.
"I was always going to be coming back to Pat's, it's a club that's very close to my heart.
"Coming home, it's giving me a fresh start. I'm around my family, I'm around my girl, my friends.
"I'm back at a club that I think genuinely likes me."

The 26-year-old added that the presence of Harry Kenny as manager - somehow whom he has worked with previously at the club - was a major factor in returning.
Forrester enjoyed a successful first two seasons at Peterborough - at one stage being named club captain. He was also awarded with a new contract just a year after joining. That came amid speculation linking with numerous Championship clubs.
However, he fell out of favour during his third season, eventually leaving to join Aberdeen last summer.
McCabe, a 26-year-old Scot who was previously on the books at Rangers, joins Pat's after a year at Sligo Rovers.
