The PFAI Player of the Year during Pat's title-winning season of 2013 knows how to rile opposition supporters.
It is not for nothing that Killian Brennan battled and snarled his way onto to the wing on our 'Most hated team in the League of Ireland XI (see here). Having played in the League for over a decade with Derry City, Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers, the St. Pat's fans celebrated his arrival to Inchicore with the welcoming ditty 'he used to be a wanker, but he's alright now...'
Incidentally, this chant was used by Irish supporters to serenade John Delaney as he set about enjoying the Polish summer of 2012. Unfortunately for John, we suspect that this chant, as applied to him, is hopelessly outdated now. The Irish hardcore in the South Stand at the Aviva have strongly implied that they believe John has rediscovered his old wanker form in recent months.
Drogheda born, Brennan naturally enjoys an especially rancorous relationship with the supporters of the reigning champions (and champions elect).
Certainly he hasn't felt bound by any twitter code of conduct policy. Following St. Pat's 4-1 spanking in Oriel Park, the suspended Brennan has been engaging in some nice exchanges with Dundalk supporters.
He wasn't afraid to be drawn on Richie Towell's staggeringly bad conduct on the night.
@realmario87 Richie towell kicking 18yr olds on the ground.. Good job I was suspended

@jamie_mc_gra hAs more ability in his broken nose than Richie does in the boot that done it...#fact#poor#bully — Killian Brennan (@killersb1984) August 17, 2015
The first tweet was in response to a tweet from a sympathetic Pat's supporter. Brennan's critique of Towell incited some Dundalk fans. They were minded to draw attention to Brennan's own disciplinary record.
@Karen25_x don't b getn away frm the fact that are lads nose was broken from a cowardly act..I heard your the biggest dirtbag in the league

@dtid1903 i dnt kick kids on the face wile on the ground..and I finished a game in oriel this year #doghnut — Killian Brennan (@killersb1984) August 18, 2015
The rest of the tweets consist of retorts to angry Dundalk supporters. Very much of the 'here we go another empty head' and 'it only took you an hour to tink that 1 up' variety.
