While his loan spell at Portsmouth has recently come to an end, it is still set to be a big few weeks ahead for Gavin Bazunu. Not only will he feature heavily in Ireland's four UEFA Nations League games in June, but a decision will also be have to made on where he will be playing his football next season.
The Dubliner is still on the books at Manchester City and is certainly good enough to fill a backup role at the club. However, the player himself has made it clear that he sees playing first team games as a priority in his career at this point.
That makes another loan move likely, with there set to be no shortage of interest. It has also been suggested that City would consider permanent offers for a players who has two years remaining on his current contract, although they may insist on a buyback clause in any deal.

A number of possible destinations have been mentioned for Bazunu, although some transfer movement elsewhere in the Premier League could open up one intriguing option.
Forster departure could be good news for Gavin Bazunu
The Athletic are reporting that Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster is set to join Spurs on a free transfer this summer, as they want to bring in a homegrown backup for Hugo Lloris.
Forster has acted as Southampton's number one for the majority of the season, with Alex McCarthy also at the club. It had been suggested that the goalkeeping position would be a priority for them this summer, with Bazunu one the names most strongly linked.
With Forster out the door, there should be a route for him to become first choice at St Mary's. The chance to be playing every week in the Premier League is something that is too good to turn down, especially for a player who only recently turned 20-years old. Very few goalkeepers are given such opportunities at that age.
He certainly has the talent to be playing in the English top flight next season, although it remains to be seen if he is at the top of Southampton's list when it comes to possible signings.
Seeing him in the Premier League in August would be a huge boost for Ireland and Stephen Kenny.
