This is the world we live in now.
On Wednesday afternoon some footage of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane doing a spot of boxing training (and looking pretty decent to be fair to him) popped up on social media.

Everybody wondered who was going to be the first person to make the inevitable 'Conor McGregor' joke, and it turns out that it was Kane's Spurs teammate Dele Alli:
Harry to fight Mcgregor.. @ericdier to fight Joshua! Let's make this happen ??? https://t.co/IfyFXIjUi3

And then of course UFC Europe got involved:
@HKane Looking good Harry! Give us a ring - we'll get your ground game up to scratch too ? ?

But then Harry posted an update, a speedily prepared photoshop of him having a stare-down with McGregor, and took the piss out of his mask while claiming he was up for it:
I'm ready... Can I wear my mask though?! ? @TheNotoriousMMA @ufc @UFCEurope pic.twitter.com/oC8qGj5dtm

That escalated quickly.
Of course, there are many out there, mostly Arsenal fans, who would love to see Kane take Conor's straight left to the chin, but he's just having a bit of fun. And fair play to him for poking fun at his mask, it does look ridiculous.
We await McGregor's reply.
