Happy FIFA 16 release day!

EA Sports' annual football title is growing bigger and bigger by the year, and the game has carved out a unique corner of YouTube in which players are documenting their time with the game, and commentating/presenting over it. It's a rapidly growing industry that is providing many creative young FIFA players with well paying jobs, as some have amassed legions of fans and millions of subscribers, and they are also getting some fantastic opportunities as companies and football clubs look to get a piece of the action with so many watching on YouTube.

Spencer FC (real name Spencer Owen) is one of the more unanimously popular YouTubers, and with good reason, as his creativity in terms of making high quality FIFA videos on YouTube as well as sharing his own personal views on his channel has seen his subscriber count pass one million in recent weeks.

Spencer is also a big Real Oviedo fan and, like Balls.ie, is a shareholder in the club, so when they secured promotion to the second tier of Spanish football meaning they would again be playable in FIFA, he decided to do a career more where he displays his progress in episodes that are released a number of times a week. Well, Real Ovideo are also big fans of Spencer, and after getting wind of his plans they decided to officially announce him as virtual manager of Real Ovideo, something that has never been done before.

This is great to see. A club that clearly understands the rapidly shifting trends of the internet, their affiliation with Spencer has seen their profile rise significantly in England and they are very thankful for that following their recent financial trouble.

Best of luck to Spencer with his career mode, but we can't even attempt to hide our jealousy at the fact that he does that for a living.
