Spanish newspaper Marca is reporting that Jose Mourinho will leave Real Madrid in June after his relationship with club President Florentino Pérez down.
The club sit in 3rd place in the league 5 points behind city rivals Atletico Madrid, who they beat 2-0 at the weekend and 11 points behind Barcelona. The poor start the to league campaign coupled with Pérez's belief that the dressing room is no longer with Mourinho appears to be what will end his reign as Madrid manager.
Interestingly, Alex Ferguson was quoted in yesterday's Sun as say that Mourinho could possibly be the next Manchester United manager:
He can manage anywhere, absolutely. I’m not going to put any forecasts on what is going to happen at this club. I won’t last forever but Jose can manage anywhere.
If Mourinho was to leave Madrid at the end of the season it could be the perfect time for Ferguson to take a step back and allow a new man for whom he has much admiration to take his place.
