Barcelona's submission to Liverpool is "The Greatest Embarrassment In History" declared the city's local daily paper Sport on Wednesday.
Fresh in the memory, it tops last year's turnaround against Roma. Leading 4-1 after the first leg of the quarter-final, Barca lost 3-0 in the Serie A side and exited the tournament.
Sport - Greatest Embarrassment In History
Unsurprisingly, Sport's player ratings were not kind to Barcelona. Only Arturo Vidal escaped with any kind of credit and he was rated a five. For the rest it was threes all the way apart from Ivan Rakitic and Philippe Coutinho who were both given zeros.
Mundo Deportvivo offered one-word summaries for each player. Again, Vidal was rated as the best.
Vidal: Recognisable
Ter Stegen: Beaten
Sergi Roberto: Strange
Pique: Inopportune
Lenglet: Overwhelmed
Alba: Catastrophic
Busquets: Overcome
Rakitic: Unknown
Messi: Powerless
Suarez: Dry
Coutinho: Invisible
