For those too engrossed in Christmas festivities, you may have missed the romance happening over in Southampton. A fan named Tim had developed an infatuation with another supporter of the club and was encouraged to ask her out by the Southampton Twitter account.
There have been developments since, as the club produced this video prior to yesterday's win over Arsenal in an effort to help Tim.
There was a big push on twitter from the club and from one of its legends showing their support for Tim:

Then we waited. Fortunately for the Saints, they had an excellent first half against Arsenal, taking a 1-0 in the break. Then, just after 4pm, word broke:
