Tottenham have received a bow with the news that their attacker Son-Heung Min has been called up to South Korea's team for the Asian Cup, taking place in January.
Son is only linking up with the squad for their final group game against China, which means he will fly out after Tottenham's Premier League game with Man United on January 13th. While he is available for the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea, he will miss the second leg clash at Stamford Bridge.
Should South Korea progress all the way to the final, Son would also miss games with Fulham, Watford and Newcastle United. He will be back in time for the league game with Leicester City
The Asian Cup isn't to be confused with the Asian Games - at which Son won gold earlier this year, exempting him from military service.
