Brighton had a great season under Gus Poyet in the Championship this season. They finished fourth, just four points off the automatic promotion places.

Their hopes of a place in the Premier League next season were ended last night when they went down 2-0 at home to Crystal Palace in the playoff semi-final with Wilfried Zaha grabbing both goals.
