Andrea Pirlo's new autobiography entitled ‘I Think, Therefore I Play’ is being released soon and judging from some of the extracts, it should be an interesting read.
Pirlo in his autobiography: "After the wheel, the greatest invention in history is the PlayStation."

Though he can't say exactly how many Pirlo believes that he's played 4x as many [football] games on the PlayStation than he has in real life

Pirlo + Nesta would get into Milanello @ 9, have breakfast, play PlayStation until 11 - Barca vs Barca - train, have lunch then play until 4

Pirlo reveals that he almost joined Chelsea and then Barcelona but on both occasions, Silvio Berlusconi 'stepped in.'
Pirlo also articulates his disappointment at only receiving a Cartier pen with the AC Milan crest on it as a fairwell gift after he left Milan to join Juventus in 2011. "A lovely pen, but still a pen. Filled with banal blue ink... My 10 years of Milan, gone like that. I smiled anyway."
In true stylish Pirlo fashion, he describes being played on the left of midfield rather than his usual central midfield position by AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri . "I still thought I could give my best there. A fish breathes when it is in deep water. It makes do when near the surface, but it’s not the same thing."
