The Guardian report this morning on Manchester United's failed bid for RVP gives similar reports on Twitter yesterday a whole lot of credence. Whether or not Ferguson is simply on the verge entering another failed transfer bidding stakes to drive up the price for City remains to be seen. As a neutral, I sort of look like the idea of Van Persie beside Rooney, though I have no idea how it would work.
