The departure of Richie Towell has done little to dampen the enthusiasm in the north-east of the country. Dundalk were in full PR mode last night as they unveiled two new jerseys for next season as well as two new signings to whet fans' appetites.
First up the jerseys. All well and good they certainly look like Dundalk jerseys but the subheading above Brian Gartland is something that quite a few people have taken issue with.
'...and we did it in Talla!' is not exactly becoming of 2-in-a-row champions but that's what they went with nonetheless.

As for the signings. Dundalk are going some way to replace the attacking threat of Richie Towell from midfield with Robbie Benson coming in from UCD.

There was more to come from the champions however as former Derry City winger Patrick McEleney showed up during the unveiling to announce that he had signed for Dundalk after his prospective move to Peterborough fell through.
Patrick McEleney has just been announced as signed by Dundalk FC by manager Stephen Kenny.

Losing the best player in the league is never going to be a positive development but McEleney's signing is a good indication that Dundalk aren't planning on giving up their title anytime soon.
As for the jerseys, we can't say we give the away effort our full backing but perhaps it will be nicer in real life.
