During the course of securing a famous European victory over Motherwell on Wednesday, Sligo Rovers participated in outrageous levels of shithousery, as they looked to wind down the clock.
They carried a 1-0 advantage into their second leg clash at the Showgrounds, and quickly went 2-0 up in the tie after Shane Blaney's fourth minute free kick screamer.
The rest of the game was devoted to keeping Motherwell out, and while the desperately poor Scottish side did little to trouble Sligo Rovers, it was made even harder for them due to the home side's time wasting tactics.
The most notable of these actions was the injury feigning of no. 9 Aidan Keena. The striker, while receiving treatment and with the referee's back turned, made an exaggerated role onto the pitch while clutching his ankle, while seemingly being egged on by the physio.
Other tactics included substitute Alex Mata scooping the ball into the crowd while he was warming up on the sidelines, preventing Motherwell from taking a quick throw-in.

Clearly karma was not working in the north-west as Mata would come on and score Sligo's second goal of the evening late in the game.
Sligo Rovers will now face Norwegian side Viking FK in the third round of Europa Conference League qualifying, with the first-leg taking place next week in Norway.
Sligo also received a boost from UEFA after they were granted permission to hold their home leg at the Showgrounds. St. Patrick's Athletic's home game against CSKA Sofia, in the same round, will be held at Shamrock Rovers' Tallaght Stadium.
