In a strange turn of events Mrs Doyle has baked a jumper inside the cake Sky Sports News HQ have today started using Football Manager statistics to rate players during their transfer analysis.
What's more they've been doing it with the help of none other than Tony Cascarino.

To be honest I don't see what's so ridiculous about using the game's database given how it is by in large pretty damn accurate and probably a much reliable source than random football pundits who probably have never seen a lot of the players in question actually play before.
Nevertheless, their initiative has upset as many people as it has intrigued, and it would seem the jury is still out on whether this is a good idea or not.
To everyone criticising Sky Sports for using Football Manager stats. FM scout each player extensively, its not guess work like FIFA.

Sky Sports should have people who are really good at Football Manager on as pundits for big games. So we can laugh at them.

The biggest shock at SSN using Football Manager is that it's taken Sky Sports the best part of 15 years to actually to actually use it

Sky Sports' attempt to turn the transfer window into a game of Football Manager is by far the funniest thing they've ever done

Sky sports news are genuinely using Football Manager to assess who Man United should sign to replace Di Maria

Sky Sports are using Football Manager stats to compare players. By their logic, Carlos Fierro is the new Messi. pic.twitter.com/oOakqT6jgI

I'm currently emailing them a copy of the my 2020 Leeds United team to show how any Championship side can successfully guide their club to the last eight of the Champions League within four years.
