Now that the Irish players have returned, perhaps (and understandably) a bit worse for wear, to their respective clubs, focus has once again turned to regular club football and the biggest game of the weekend in the Premeir League, Man City vs Liverpool.
While many have been looking forward to the game, the realisation that an absolutely massive El Clasico clash between Real Madrid and Barcelona kicks off a mere 15 minutes after proceedings at The Etihad Stadium was proving to be a massive pain in the arse to those of us who planned on plopping ourselves on the sofa and watching two massive games on a Saturday evening.
Rather than pick one and catch the highlights of the other, Sky Sports are offering football fans the chance to watch both matches at the same time via their split-screen feature, which will be a big help for those who can't decide which game to watch.
Sky Sports split screen feature allows you to watch both games simultaneously; all you have to do is tune in to Sky Sports 1 and press the red button.
You can watch the games side by side in glorious HD and if one of the games takes your fancy during the action, you can select the match from the menu to see uninterrupted coverage.
If you prefer to focus on one game, you can still watch Manchester City vs Liverpool from 5pm on Sky Sports 1 HD, while El Clasico will be on Sky Sports 2 HD from 5pm.
Pick a game, or watch both. All bases covered.
Maybe one day the coveted "quad-box" occasionally seen in Sky Sports' NFL Redzone coverage will make it's way to football, although on second thought that sounds like an absolute monstrosity. Two games at the same time is enough, and possibly too much actually, we'll see how this plays out.
