It's transfer deadline day, and this far, it has been sadly bereft of any dildo-thrusting drama.
Sky Sports News are having their usual garish orgy of yellow and hyped Human Resources, with a few new additions. Jim White is still there, but now they have added a 'Social Media Zone' which is a man in a suit standing at a TV screen asking viewers to Guess The Transfer Non-Story Based On The Four Emojis.
It's not exactly compulsive viewing.
Deadline Day seems to be Sky's attempt to break from their usual rigid format, loosen their top button and see where the mad world of live television might take them.
It usually takes them nowehere, as they consistently attempt to report stories without allowing for any developments, and as a result, Deadline Day more or less becomes Sky talking about their coverage of Deadline Day, and how ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN ON TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY.
Here is such an example: they crossed live to Palace chairman Steve Parish for comment on the potential arrival of Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool.
They didn't get a whole lot out of him.
The lowest note they've hit since last year.
