After ending their World Cup opener against the USA on a high last, Wales were very much brought back down to their earth in their fixture against Iran this morning.
They entered the game knowing that a win would put them in a decent position to advance from the group, but their tournament hopes are now hanging by a thread after an incredibly poor performance.
The Iranians were full value for their 2-0 victory, even if they left it very late to score the two goals. They completely dominated proceedings and scuppered a number of excellent chances, meaning the game was still in the balance heading into injury time.
However, they would eventually break the deadlock, perhaps with a helping hand from Wayne Hennessey's moment of madness.
Rouzbeh Cheshmi gives Iran a deserved 1-0 lead.

It was a tough day for Wales, who will now have to beat England in their final group game to have any chance of advancing to the knockout stages.
Sky reporter has nightmare with Wales
Considering the result, it probably won't surprise you to learn that Wales fans weren't in a great mood after the game.
Their team was very poor on the day and that wouldn't go down well if you had forked out a small fortune to make your way out to Qatar.
A Sky News reporter tried to speak to a handful of them outside the stadium after the game, but it didn't exactly go to plan.
Not only did he seem to forget who had actually won the match, he would soon also find himself apologising for some bad language on live television.
13 secs of TV gold on Sky News 😂

Reporter: Guys you're live on Sky, your reaction to the win?
Fan 1: We lost.
Reporter: Reaction to the loss?
Fan 2: Shit.
Reporter: Apologies for the language.
Incredible TV.
Wales will need to beat England on Tuesday if they are to have any hopes of getting out of the group, something that you'd think is unlikely considering their form over the last couple of games.
