Martin Skrtel has been banned for three matches after his appeal against a violent conduct charge was dismissed by the FA. Skrtel was deemed to have stamped on David De Gea near the end of Sunday's heated clash between Liverpool and Man United.
The Slovakian denied that there had been any intention in the action, however, an independent regulatory commission found that the original charge of violent conduct had been correct.

That means Liverpool will have to do without Steven Gerrard and Skrtel for the upcoming games against Arsenal, Blackburn and Newcastle.
