Steve Sidwell put Brighton ahead against Bristol City at Ashton Gate with a superb goal from just inside the home side's half.
After Bristol lost control of the ball in midfield, Sidwell pounced on an opportunity to regain possession. Looking up, he spotted Bristol keeper Richie O'Donnell off his line. Not wasting a second, he lofted the ball towards goal, beating a frantically backpedalling O'Donnell.
Sidwell immediately ran to the sideline. His celebration of the goal was a recognition of teammate Anthony Knockaert's loss. The Frenchman was unavailable for the game due to the death of his father.
Sidwell and teammates held aloft Knockaert's number 11 shirt.
